NCQA RECOGNITION - In February 2014 Quaker Medical Associates achieved Level 3 Recognition (the highest level) for Patient Center Medical Home (PCMH) from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
Hospital Service - In an effort to provide improved office accessibility for our patients, we recently made the difficult decision to stop seeing patients in the hospital. We have contracted with the hospitalist service at both Buffalo General Hospital (for adults) and Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo (for children). The hospitalist will notify us when you are admitted and call us upon your discharge with a summary of the admission and arrange follow-up in our office. Additionally, they will notify us of any changes in your hospital course. We continue to ask that you use these hospitals when possible in an effort to ensure continuity of care.
We will continue to see newborn infants at Women an Children's Hospital of Buffalo, Sisters of Charity Hospital, and South Buffalo Mercy.
Workers' Compensation - Effective October 1, 2014 we will no longer be treating injuries or illness related to workers' compensation.
DOT Physicals - Our office no longer performs DOT physicals
Quaker Quits Program - We will continue in 2015 to prioritize smoking cessation with our "Quaker Quits" program. If you are a smoker, we would like to help you succeed at permanently quitting. If you are a patient and are interested in participating with our program please call our office at 662-8510 option 3 to schedule an appointment.
